BIOGRAPHY

Auden Bui is a DGA award-winning director.

She is an alumna of the Warner Brother's Television Director's Workshop, WIF Directing Fellowship, UC Berkeley and USC's School of Cinematic Arts where her thesis THE LOST CITY OF TOMORROW was the recipient of the DGA student award, The Caucus Foundation Award, Irving Lerner Endowment Fund and The Charles and Lucille King Foundation, among others.

Her short DREAM BOY OR THE PURSUIT OF BEING starring Jordan Prentice is streaming on Shudder. Her short TRAIN STOP premiered at Dances with Films and has played at over 40 film festivals around the world.

Her latest short A.A premiered at Seattle International Film Festival.

She was the creative director for GoldenVoice's music festival Arroyo Seco Weekend from 2017-2018 and has shot narratives, commercials and music videos all over the world. Her client list includes Google, Huawei, Cartier, Levi's, Target, Smashbox, Vice, MTV, Disney, Blumhouse, Doc Marten, Moleskine, and she frequently collaborates with actress Anna Akana.

At age 6, she immigrated to the US with her family from Vietnam to escape political conflict. She is an award-winning photographer having exhibited at UC Berkeley School of Architecture, the Southern Utah Museum of Art and the Galerie Joseph Le Palais in Paris.

An avid seeker of unfamiliar adventures, she has been to 7 continents (Antarctica twice) and has a life goal of visiting every country in the world. In addition to her cinematic work, she volunteers at refugee camps in Bangladesh and recently completed a half marathon in Egypt with the Skid Row Running Club.

She is currently in development on her first feature.
